nice pics james, looks like a gread day.

interesting piece of info about fosters. they made tanks for ww1 aswel as traction engines. the way to tell a foster made after ww1, is on the name band round the smokebox, there is a small tank on there along with saying fosters. learnt that from "steam giants" free with mays old glory.

He should be going round some of the shows where I take me sheep, I'll film it then

I'm meant to be writing and revising for a German oral exam, but I really cannot be bothered

WOW! What a crackin` day!

We arrived about 10.15.
Almost immediately met James...... "Heyup ma duck!" (He loves that), then Mark, who was minding the table.

I`d brought along a few engines he might like to see, so he made a bit of space for them.
After a chat, I showed him how the hot air engine worked, and left him operate it.

I met Titan & DLR who were running the railway display

Then off outside to see the stationaries & other displays.

I especially liked this one... So much happening in every corner....

A conducted tour of the museum by James allowed us time to talk, and to get to know each other better.

During the day a nice young lady gave me a brass plaque!
Seems I was an exhibitor!

All too soon it was time to leave.

Another lovely show, with not enough hours in the day to fully appreciate it all. (Always the same, innit.....)

It's Land Rover's 60th birrthday today, and there was an old Series one... which can plough

I saw that but most of it's missing.

Some people have all the fun
As I sit in my black hole, void of steam. Still, it inspires me to get my engines out & organize my own private STIA's
Glad you all had such a fine day & thanks for the photos!
