My Boiler End Caps are in a very poor condition.
After removing one end cap to repair a small hole I have found corrosion has badly taken over and would probably in the long run best to replace both.
Any suggestions welcome.... |

If anyone can re-produce the end caps I would be interested also, same problem as Yellow Jr. _________________ Les - Old age isn't so bad when you consider the alternatives.

I don't fancy your chances finding new ones, but.....
I have sucessfully repaired Bowman endcaps on two occasions now by taking them off and soldering in a brass disk (on the inside). _________________ Stands the glass half empty,

MF Steam.Com - Might come to the rescue?
May well have a set of tools to make the pressed end caps.
He will check and get back.
Brass disks sound like a good idea, any body got any spare brass to make a couple of disks....? |
