Is this a 'Caldercaft' kit?

No, as I stated in an earlier posting, this model boat is a Mountfleet Highlander, see here - http://www.mountfleetmodels.co.uk/highlander.htm

So what kind of fuel does a real "Puffer" use..? Oil, coal? _________________ regards,

VIC 32 is quite obviously coal fired, and indeed is the last surviving coal fired steam powered puffer.
Others can be oil fired, or replaced with diesel engines. |

I had to go back to the beginning to remind myself what this originally looked like.
That has come up really well and is now looking like a Puffer again. Well Done.
Any luck getting the missing parts from Caldercraft? |
