is it any faster than the regular mamod car.
It would be interesting to see if it was. The last one of these I saw running used up way too much steam and went very fast initially before slowing right down.
great model though! With meths firing and a Mamod loco high pressure safety valve it would go mad! _________________ burning fingers since 1989!
Thanks for the comments guys! So far i've not spent much time with her running but i can say that she does sap up the steam pretty quickly with the twin cylinders. I also tried a couple of runs on carpet and she was reluctant to really get moving. Bear in mind this is my first mamod mobile. So! Do you guys normally run them on a nice smooth surface or should i give it a but more running in? I have to admit that the drive train is fairly rudimentary. A lot od space under thatback end for many alterations! A reversing gearbox in the future perhaps?!

I've got one of these and they are good and loads of fun. My only word of warning would be, so is the Roadster and you can get a decent Roadster on eBay for a lot less money.
As a present it's brill and not so many of these about. I'd not say no to another one. But, if it was my first Mamod car, you can get nearly the same model for a lot less money. _________________ Manx, the mobile man
