Yes I saw the whalebone and walked under it but didn't take a picture.

Lots of vampire related bits and pieces in Whitby because of the novel.  It's also a 'mecca' for goths and there were lots of strange looking people wandering round  (including myself!).

But I had a great time relaxing over there.

The NYMR is amazing and I recommend everyone to go!

I was just in that part of the world - went to the National Model Engineering exhibition in Harrogate. Was some amazing models there as you can imagine!

I didn't take any photos though as it's such a struggle battling the crowds and carrying all my carrier bags with tool purchases in!

I went to the National Rail Museum though and did get lots of pictures! I see that the Flying Scotsman is undergoing a meticulous restoration, it's currently totally dissassembled, going by the beautiful condition of the frames, the workmanship looks amazing!

I was hoping to go to the Harrowgate exhibition but I had to work at the weekend. I've been before though, and I agree, it's a wonderful event.
