Bought at a live auction in England.  Finally arrived today.  Some small damage, all easily fixed, not surprising for such a fragile piece.  Musical box in landing plays as it turns.  45 cm diameter, 60 cm high.

With sausage maker for scale.

That is one gorgeous looking carousell, a joy to behold.   and they do make a wonderful pair.

They are going to be one very interesting video.

Oh, it's not a Fleischmann.

So fitting that you display it wit the Marklin Engine, a match made in Heaven. I think that thing oozes charm and class. A proper Victorian Carousel.

Quite well done and yes the Video will be Oscar material.

Now that is special. I'd love more details. Do you know when it was made? I know we shouldn't ask (and you don't have to tell us) but, how much did that cost?

I'm also waiting for the video now. Is this going to be part of your second, older, fairground. Can't wait.

Hmm..you all are asking for its age?
This isn't an old model, it is a modern reproduction by marklin.
Just like the engine (but the carousel was sold some years earlier)
So productiontime should be the 90's i think

Well done Mirko, real close.

I know that those of you who own the 'Toy Steam, a Symphony in Motion' book will have been looking at page 192 and scratching your heads.

For those of you who don't here's page 192:

:shock
