No, just a very weak engine.
I did like watching it at the slow speed, but it was only able to power the blacksmith for a couple of minutes. |

I decided to have another run with the L4. This time I hooked it up to my Marklin windmill which spins easily.
In the video, it looks like the windmill is stopping and reversing, but during the run, it was actually running at full speed.
