It had too be good.. my first reno job and everything going to plan, Just the detailed stuff left to do. Decided to take mi flywhell to work to do a clean and paint job, lovely too, then left it on the train on the way home.
So this is what I would like an older flywheel like this one I had

the only ones I can find on ebay etc are like this

I dont think they are the same anyone got one or recommend where I could find one thanks in advance

not sure does it resemble the first photograph I think it probaly is and whatever it would be more 'of the date' than the
at newbie job theyre selling.

Thanks for the offer unfortunetly as a beginner I'm not totally au-fait (oh! bit a french there) with the various model variations. What might be handy if so,eone with a sixties se2 could get the verniers out and give us a few dimensions. Either way I would like to keep this thread open and see what you mamodians can suggest
I mean... I cant be the only person in the world to lose a wallet, a pair of designer specs and a 60's se2 refurbished flywheel on three seperate occasions over a three week period on the same train journy ...now can I

Having sold my soul to the devil (Yes a bit over-budget on this one)I am keen to get the bits right or else one of you founts of all steam knowledge will be quick to spot my newbie flywheel when I display the finished engine on here.
I can here it now nice base...shame about the flywheel!!!

the fly wheel from a te1a would fit and be the right size but it would need the pulley taking off

How do you mean the pully... do you mean on the CShaft.
to be honest and I'm not being petty here but I can make something that fits, what I really would like is the same typ as was originally fitted. would the te look anything like this
heres an end shot

you can see that the bosses either side of the FW are unequal and the long side as a wee groove. Does this look familiar to anyone

if you cut the part with the grove in off you get the same flywheel, Just checked on whats left of my dads se2
