hi i am building a te1a back from the dead but the chimney is seperated from the base whats the best way to stick back together cheers mark

Until recently I didn't know these were 2 piece.

Someone else had the same problem. A good glue that handles temps would do the job.

depending on your skill level you can rivit it back on with fine brass rivets,then touchup the paint work. i have some with this repair and the little rivet heads (size of a pin head) looks  good too
