I have a few more adjustments to make, the Safety Valve now has a Teflon washer in it and I need to adjust the tension on the cylinder spring I think. However, I managed to run it till it went dry, I need to watch that with this burner, and it ran smoothly. This is about the quietest engine I have, and I think I will get it going just a bit faster once all of the very minir things are taken care of. I just made a journey across the ocean and all, si I suspect that it was jostled around a little bit.

Seems to run very nicely. Thumbs up!

How does it compare to the 135?

If you think that is quiet,  wait for the Jenny Wren.

It's completely inaudible.

Very nice John, and as that is not the original burner you will have to careful. I would put less meths in and so work it out from there, but you already know that.

It is considerably smaller than the M135, and as I said, it seems a bit anemic and needs a bit of tinkering to get it up to speed.

That's part of the fascination about this hobby.

It has a nice sound. It probably should be running a bit quicker than that, but I'm sure you'll soon adjust it.

Thats great John, agree it should go quite a bit faster, i am sure you will sort it.

Could it be something to do with the Dekal missing

LOL the Dekal disintegrated when Meths came in contact with it.

The Steam Dome was leaking badly and I had not noticed before because the chimney was covering it. I resoldered it and that helped a lot. There was also some dried up oil in the exhaust that was restricting it and that kind of blew out under pressure luckily it hit something easy to clean off, It now runs faster.

I filled it with water to where it came out the overflow, then tilted the engine to drain a small amount more out. I then filled the burner and fired it. After 20 minutes of decent running I was starting to panic as I do not want to run it dry, so I pulled the burner out. There was still about a third of the boiler full! Bowman advertised them as being able to run 25 minutes, and I do believe this one could surpass the half hour mark if I was brave enough to try it.
