Nice buy. I would however only use it as an engine. I have tried water pumping with an oscilator engine. The water pressure separates the gap between the mating surface and engine block.
It works, but leaks alot.
I hope you can find a way to keep it from leaking. _________________ Best Regards, Ranger Moore |

Sounds like a good idea. I was thinking of a drip tray. Similar to what cats and dogs drink out of. As the pump drips, it will drip back into the water tank therefore recycled. _________________ Best Regards, Ranger Moore |

I have a the Flieshamann. I have thought of a water pump. But.. I have to ask the dumb question... what would the water pump do?
building it so it is submerged is an interesting idea. Will the flywheel turn well enough under water? |

It doesn't need to be submerged at all, just needs a feed pipe below water level as this shows.

| maybee put a stronger spring on the cylinder where it pivots, like mamods. this reduces steam leakage, and might do the same to water... |

the pump could refill the boiler, making a longer run time. Or do something like in the video. _________________ Best Regards, Ranger Moore |

You think its possible to get enough pressure out of that to fill a hot boiler under pressure? Also would require the making of some kind of a one way valve, a lot like the one in the hand pump.
Interesting. Gives certain Ideas for the Flieshmann engine I have. |
