my TE1A has never been a good runner except in stationary but today after I had attempted to get it going the running gear was blown right off in a miniture steam explosion
lucky no one was hurt later found the cylinder in the grass
I am at wits end at what to do.
I think it might be cursed _________________ knowledge is power

it sort of struggles and steam pours from the cylinder and I have even replaced it with no effect when the accident happened it had struggled like always for a few feet and stopped nothing unusual there but when I gave it a nudge forward it just disappeared in a cloud of steam.
I have been over every inch of the engine and cant understand whats wrong. _________________ knowledge is power

rod the pipes through with a thin bit of wire, its possible some dirt is stuck in the exhaust pipes. This would act like an exhaust throttle like on the TE1.
This cured my ones crap behaviour. _________________ burning fingers since 1989! |

You might want to put a drop of Locktite on the Cylinder Screw too so it doesnt come unscrewed. _________________ Your life is an occasion...Rise to it |

Glad you've found all the bits.
You're not a real Mamod owner till you've experienced the flying piston effect!
Check things are tight (but not too tight) before every run and it shouldn't happen again. |
