am i the first on the forum to put lagging on a mamod te boiler? tried it today after thinking about it at work. i used some old towel cut to size as the lagging, sewn it down the middle to hold it in place. then i cut up some baking tray from asda, to make the cladding. i had to make some new boiler bands from the tray as my brass ones from cjw steam didnt fit round the extra diameter. i also put some thick string around the steam pipe from the boiler to the cylinder. i did all this to see if it would be a bit more efficient than before, and i rekkon it is a LOT more effiecient. before, it wouldnt hold much pressure and it lost a lot of steam and heat, but now it works a treat. but i think i need a new piston as the one which i have now is a bit slack in the cylinder. the piston is new and the cylinder original. i will post pics tomorrow as im now really tired

PICT-URSSSS!

Toyed, off and on, with the notion of lagging a Jensen boiler (25 or 70 series), but I honestly am far too lazy to give it proper contemplation at this time.

Though probably a good way to hide a nasty ding or two...
