my uncle when he was 17 found a load of these very games along with a load of slot and arcade machines at the dump

he repaired them and rented them out to youth clubs and pubs and bars etc.

He didn't make much money from the venture, and when he kept asking his dad to give him a lift to wherever to repair the machine (he had a 24 hour on call repair service), the business soon lost momentum.

But wow, if someone that young could do that, then I envy my dad and his brother for their childhood!  They were like the Tony Starks of their class, they built a complete burglar alarm in their parents house in one day while their parents went out for a day trip to somewhere!  Best thing was they used an old air raid siren, and the system worked....too well!

I can't believe how much money we used to pump into those machines.

It all seems so crude and cheesy now, but they seemed like state of the art graphics in the 80's
