I'm trying to come up with a plan to keep my steam roller.
All I need to do is sell stuff to the value of what I paid for it.

Below is a photo of all my unwanted Buzz. Its an Australian copy of Meccano.
There is actually a lot more there than the photo makes it look like.
At a guess over 2Kg worth.
I don't collect Buzz but get a lot in job lots of Meccano in Australia

Wallace do you think I would be better selling it all together or picking out the good bits and selling them in small groups on ebay and all the average stuff as one large group?

Yes the brass bits are meccano but they are all damaged.

I know the sale of this won't equal the cost of my steam roller but its a start.

It's a hard choice there I think

I personally would get the red 2 inch pulleys, and sell them as a lot, you have 5 looking at the pic. They double as wheels and I know they are harder to get.
If they are in good nick, they should pull some ok money. Just throw meccano in listing title too.

Is any of it Ezy bilt too?

Probably the rest I would sell together. Only cos I know some people like to get a mix of all sorts by buying a lot of meccano in one hit.

Perforated strips could be sold as a bunch too?

Then see what is left over and sell it as a lot
It's funny, there was a similar amount of Ezy bilt for sale a month or 2 ago. It started at $90 listing. Kept getting relisted due to no-one buying. Seller drop starting price, and it went for about $110

I don't wanna mislead you as to how to list it, but that's what I'd try.

Good luck mate

There is possible some Ezy Bikt in there as well.
But as neither put any markings on most of the parts its hard to say which one they are.

Yes the 2 inch pulleys are all good unlike the small meccano brass ones.
(If the meccano was good it would not be in the unloved pile )

Most of the perferated strips are straight but paint insaverage on a lot of them and the flexible strips range from near new to ready for the bin.

To be honest if I make anything over $50 for the lot I would be happy.

Would be real happy is it made $110

Have a lot of nickle Buzz or Ezi Built that I may sell as well unfortunately the nickle is starting to flake on most of it.

At a closer look you are probably right that it is Ezy Bilt not Buzz.

I think I'll sell all the flexible red plates as one group as they are only in average condition.
All the pulleys as another lot.
The flanged plates as a 3rd lot.
And all the perferated strips in one or 2 lots.

Yeah I think you will end up selling it for more than $50 to be honest

That ezy bilt stuff I mentioned that went for $110 would have been similar amount and condition to your lot. I probably would have bid at the time, but it had no gears in it.

Might even bid on the 2 inch pulleys myself

I think 2 of mine are coming apart.
