A wonderful array of SELs. I do have both the 2 and 4 sided green based Standards, the one I do not have are any red based of either type of base.
If I started getting them I would be compelled to go for the complete sets so I am leaving that honour to you and all the rest on the forum.

I think I will leave them to you as well.

Seeing your SELs reminded me that I forgot to put my 1560 Launch Engine on the table, so I will just nip back to mine and do that now.

ANd I need to sort it before doing so.

A very unusual and old engine.
Is the piston rod aluminium or does it just look like that in the picture??

The Dendale Gem is intriguing. I wonder what the four holes in a rectangle are for?  The Axeholm Products version has them too.

And what a display of Bowmans!

I've been looking at my picture of the Axholme engine again, and I wonder if the base plate on your engine has been reversed at some time. Otherwise it's hard to see how anything could have attached to those holes, because the steam pipe would be in the way.

Are there not 4 holes on that one Steve? Looks exactly the same place too?

Yes, I think so, but the base plate is the other way around so the holes are at the far end from the piston/cylinder.

Not been able to do much today, sadly.

First is my Dads Stuart Turner.

Its a beast. Not been steamed for many years.

One day (sadly not today     )
