A lot of time, thought discussions and worry has gone into this event and we really had no idea if it would work and here we are just under half way through the event and its bigger and better than we could of hoped for already.

SO just want to say thanks to everyone for taking part and a big thanks to Steve for coming up with the idea and Sandy for being the driving force to get it to happen.

I've been a little busy this weekend, haven't managed to see but only a handful of all the engines on display in the World Wide Weekend, but what I've seen has been terrific! Really spreads some of the enthusiasm of the forum members here and inspires people to share their hobby!

I managed two runs of my IP Jane, should have a little more progress on my project loco and will hopefully get a vid of it in steam too. Here's hoping Sunday will be just as good as Saturday!

Have a great World Wide Weekend!

Alan

Folks, I don't know when I've been so excited and uptight about anything.

The response we've had has exceeded my wildest dreams.

My fellow mods have had to put up with my over enthusiasm, and the missus says she's never seen me like this.

I can't tell you how much my friends and members support in this venture means to me.

You're just a great bunch.

The response has been utterly fantastic. If we stopped right now we'd already have far more than I expected, and we're only half way through. Keep it coming!

... and 'Driving Force' is exactly the right description of Sandy!

Just when I think the internet has run out of new ideas, something comes along that I find newly exciting. That is the case with the World Wide Engine Exhibition you guys have come up with. When I first heard the concept put forward, I was not sure how well it would work, but after having seen it first hand, I have to admit this new format has quite a bit of potential. It has much of the flavor of a real life exhibition and could be used in a number of other interesting ways.

A huge WELL DONE!!. BRAVO!!!! to all who contributed.

Steve

Back on after nearly 2 weeks away. Due to unforseen circumstances I missed out

I must say a big well done to all the entrants. What an effort

I've only just started looking at the tables, and every entry is great.

What a great event

It doesn't really end though Pauly, the forum is what we make of it.
The weekend was a good boost for people, builds a bit of momentum, anyone can carry that on if they like....we all enjoy seeing new posts.
