Yes, that's the original colour scheme. As for the second engine, it would be fairly straightforward to make a metal (M101) or wooden (E101) base, and also the firebox. I'd certainly have a go!

I think eventually i'll have a go at making the bits, my woodworking skills can cope with anything from new wooden engine bases to complete staircases & continuous handrails with scrolls, but the metalworking skills are very limited. Littlle mj (Will) maybe doing metalwork this term, so there could be an opening somewhere.
We've also an Sr1 (only one rivet away from the crusher) & Se3 (boiler end caps nacked etc) which have been shelved until the first E101 is completed.
It may have been said about the 101 before,
but 'i really didn't realise it was that big'.
