There is a shop near where I work and all they sell is old kerosine lamps and parts for them.
I have bought wicks from them before but not like Mamod wicks.
I should take in one of my burners and see what they can do for them.
The shop has funny opening hours only open for 2 1/2 days a week. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm

Pay a visit to your local hardware store, or maybe even supermarket, and buy an old fashioned mop head. |
Clever idea Roly. Do they perform well?

If you get the diameter right they work quite well. They don't last as long as fibreglass or asbestos ones, though. _________________ Regards

If all this were going on tomorrow, it would be Punday, right?

While on this subject, wicks, what is the best height to have them above the wick holder top?
I think I read 5-7mm, is that right? _________________
