Over a period of 10 weeks I have been helping a student at school make a Meccano radio controlled car. A good way of following instructions etc. I am posting here so he can see it up on the net as well as presenting it in Powerpoint form to his class

Tomorrow I will post some more pics of the actual build

This is the set we chose -

You can make 3 different models from the one set. The first part to be assembled was the rear of the car, then you make the front. Both parts shown here ready to be joined together -

Here is the completed body shell ready to go onto the chassis -

Can't seem to upload the last pic at the moment, I will try again a bit later on

Nice work Paul. I'm sure the student enjoyed it. I think it's great to see a kid having a go at stuff like this

That was an excellent choice. Looks great also!! Their instructions are good to follow too. Good Brain workout.

Next week I start a 10 week Meccano club, I have 10 sets for 12 children. Sad part is It's only an hour or so once a week, should be interesting though.
