Ok ,Not a steam event at all- but I think I am safe to say that these small much heralded boats from WW2 are now represented in RUNNING condition in one place in the world...right here in Portland Oregon
It has been a labor of love for many older vets and other supporters. She has just been fitted with more original armament so this is how she looks today
Check it more here:

I have a fond place in my heart for these little plywood boats powered by 3 5M-2500 Packard-Marine V12 Engines. 1,500 HP each..Some ski boat for sure
Sorry for the huge photos..if the mods know how to tone done the size I'd be obliged.. _________________ Lagniappe readily offered and accepted,

Awesome! There was an old, non-running one hidden away in the Sacramento River Delta. Not sure what ever happened to it... _________________ '48 Farmall Cub "Black Cat"

This one is a "Higgins" model...she is awesome to see take off and hear those engines at full throttle, 4,500 Hp puts out a wake that a wake-boarder could only dream of _________________ Lagniappe readily offered and accepted,
