Hello all. When I was a kid I had an older cousin who had a toy steam tractor. I was fascinated with the toy, and was usually disappointed when I was over their house, as no one cared to fire it up most of the time. (I remember ONE time...sigh)
Well, fast forward to today. I'm 40, have a 4 year old son, and I'm itching to get my feet wet in the hobby of toy steam!
Looking forward to learning lots from the experienced members here and eventually dipping my toe into the hobby.
Thanks!

Hi Greg, and welcome. You've come to the right place but, a word of warning, don't bother to dip a toe in - jump in feet first! You'll rapidly get out of your depth but you'll enjoy it _________________ Regards

Welcome to the forum Greg! As Roly said you've come to the right place. The best thing is to get an engine and start tinkering... but one is never enough, it's very addictive! |

Wow, what a fast, warm welcome!
As a newbie, would it be smarter to buy a new toy rather than a "pre-loved" model off the 'Bay? I am really wanting to get started here.....thanks again for the great welcome! |

Pre loved sure costs less most often, it doesnt hurt to ask someone if you have a particular one you are wanting to bid on. There are several of us who would be confidential if you PM us asking about one,
At the moment some prices are quite reasonable and some are quite high, all according to what you are looking for _________________ Non Impedite Raditioni Cogitationis |
