Welcome again from Indiana !
If i were you i would buy a brand new unit.....that way you will not be disappointed or missing parts ect.
Or get hurt by a junker from ebay that has been abused or leaks ect.
Get a new one and get off on a good start ....you will have instructions ,as well as a working machine ready to go.
Save the used market for after you have learned what your up to and what to look for.
Feel free to ask any "?"......

Thanks for the advice. Best to start off on a good note, I suppose. I've been delving into the videos section and just love the sights and sounds of steam toys.....the wife is starting to look very worried! |

My wife is a Jensen dealer so if you see something you like from them, we will be happy to help.

Wow, I'm loving this forum already!
And the Jensen's have really caught my eye. (I wasn't aware that anything was made in this country anymore, let alone steam engines!)
Thanks Gil! |

Welcome from your neighbor state Indiana...central part. You can't go wrong with either a Mamod TE1or1A or a Wilesco Tractor or Roller. Great engines and most of us have both. _________________ Visit IndianaRog and The Temple of Steam: www.indianarog.com |

Greetings from Arizona, I have a few relatives living in the Cincinnati, Columbus, Oberlin, and Mansfield areas. Both sides of the family has been in Ohio since 1850s.
This is a dangerous forum, let me tell you, came here to find information on the Wilesco D32el that I have and ended up getting a D16, D5, and a vertical Stirling engine kit from Grizzly !
Oh yeah, saw a photo of a Mamod locomotive (SL1, I believe) and now my model railroading is heading in the SM32 direction.
Dangerous place, indeed.
