A few days ago, this tidy but very heavy little box arrived....on opening it up, it revealed a tantalising quantity of little bubblewrapped parcels:
It was my STWWW prize from Ozsteamdemon!!!
Not only that, but Geoff had included many extras: loads of beautifully made pulleys, and verious odd items that in themselves would have made a great prize! Thanks very much mate, I'm absolutely over the moon with it.
And then this arrived - won it on ebay a few days ago, it is of course an Australian Steamco engine:

The Steamco is a fantastic engine and I eagerly look forward to it driving the great prize courtesy of Ozsteamdemon. _________________ Les - Nolo Servile Capistrum

Just going through Ozsteamdemon's box, and I came upon this previously unnoticed piece of paper - fantastic or what? I'm framing that! (sorry about the picture quality)

Geoff, you're a diamond, and epitomise what this forum is all about.
I thought I summed it up pretty well when I penned the words, "this is more than just a forum".
I didn't. It's much more than that. |
I was thinking the same on the walk home from the pub just now, there's something about the humanity of steam that is reflected well on the forum. I noticed it today with locos, when a steam train chuffed along the line that is at the bottom of our garden; I had my 6 year old daughter on my shoulders and we were both waving, and you know what, almost everyone on that train waved back |

Wow a lot of work would have gone into making all of that gear!
That Steamco seems to be a great runner. I haven't gotten around to getting one yet
I'm looking forward to seeing what Mooseman creativity will contrive from it all _________________ Can a Kangaroo jump higher than a tree? Of course it can, trees can't jump at all! |

What can i say ?
I`m thinking there is a smile on your face there Odilon , but your hiding it behind the award .
I must say that i agree with the comments of the great fellowship and comradship to be found on this great forum and that it is the love of steam that makes it so . _________________
