I couldn't stand it anymore, after seeing this little fellow in a few other member's collections, I thought I needed one to accompany my very first engine, my Fleischmann 122/3 of Christmas 1961.

I got this one off eBay 4 or 5 weeks ago and have just added him to my website.  With the help of Les, I learned it is officially called the "Wurstmaschine" or "Sausagemaker", item #236 and vintage about 1963.  That places it within a couple of years of my getting my 122/3 which I have now had for 48 years...so now they can grow old together.

Here 'tis:

I love this piece.  I haven't seen one in action....perhaps I need to do a youtube search for this one.

Enjoy it, Rog!

He is almost perfect, couple of nicks here and there, but nothing that detracts.

Greg, I will be doing a YouTube video of my Fleischmann engine powering this little fellow, so stay tuned (few days).

We can all be members of the Sausage club,

Fleischmann means butcher so the sausagemaker is the namesake Fleischmann piece.

Fleisch = 'Meat' and Mann = 'Man' so litteral translation is 'Meat Man'. Butcher = 'Fleischer'

I saw that fella last time I was at the Temple....

It is by far one of the most original designs for a driven toy.

At least I think so...

I'm not a big fan of most toy steam accessories, but that little Sausagemaker really appeals to me as well!
