My M140 arrived today - very pleased with it. Needs a damn good clean and lube. All there though - engine, chimney, filler funnel, box, burner and instructions! Will post up 'before' pics soon.
Just dismantling it now. Want it clean and ready to steam at STIA like SMs! |

First pics. Engine is in bits already - no shocks or surprises, which is good after the '67 Dulux SR1a. Needs a good clean, idling gear unseizing and a lot of old laquer on the boiler removing. I have some pipework in the workshop so might rig up a removeable exhaust pipe. Not sure if the M140s had them? The removeable chimney has a hole for one. Any ideas chaps?

That will polish up a treat Mike, and at a fraction of what mine cost.
Great decal.
A real shrewd buy. _________________ Ouch! Where's the burn cream

Lucky Id say. What you you think about putting a removeable exhaust pipe on it?
Lew it the smallest twin I have.
So for twins I have an SP5old, SP5 new, SE3, M122 and the M140. |

Very nice indeed, will clean up a treat.
All complete too, a real added bonus.
Glad you are pleased with it Mike, it kind of restores ones confidence in ebay. Especially after a let down, like you had with the SR. _________________ Make time to take a step back, and appreciate what you already have. |

It's funny, but I'm so impressed and familiar with your work that
I'm envious how it will end up looking BEFORE you even touch it!
It's just how you like to find them...you know it's a diamond yet
it's roughness keeps the price reasonable. If I recall correctly, you
got this at a great price. _________________ -Chuck
