If I filled my mamod loco up with water and just put it in the sun I think it would run today without the meths burner.
It is 43.5 degrees C and 17% humidity outside my house at the moment and the temperature is still rising.

With my airconditioner on full since 10am this morning its a cool 29 degrees C in my house at the moment.

I'm to go hide in my fridge now.

Incredible.
Been cloudy, showers, and Max of 20 degs here today.
Looking like a mx of 25 here by Tuesday.

We've already had a 40 deg day, but mark my word, we will get another 40 deg day by Christmas, always do.

Then a few more throught January.
Admittedly, I prefer the 40deg days, and real low humidity than the 30-35 degs and 90% humidity.

Yes.
I have spent a 'wet season' working Darwin and the expression' Gone Tropo' is true people do crazy things in the heat and humidity....

Our climate here is more predictable.

If it's not raining, it's going to.

Simple.

From where we stay we can see the Isle of Arran in the firth of Clyde.

We have this local saying.

If you can see Arran it's going to rain.
If you can't see Arran, It's raining.

Just about sums it up.

I've heard a similar phrase like that on Hayling Island:

If you can see the Isle of Wight, its going to rain,
If you can't see the Isle of Wight, its raining!

Now you know why we serve our beers at just above freezing and refrigerate our glasses in the pubs.
