That is fantastic. I might have to learn more about making things RC, oh and save up for the car and the bits, and convince my wife that it is money well spent.
Not going to happen really is it!

Amazing! What a performance. Great vid, SJN. You won't get any speeding tickets
from the "steam police", but what fun it must be to have such control over a mobile!
Your vid conjures many possibilities, i.e., garden railways have been done, so
wouldn't it be cool to build a little roadway in the backyard for such cars as yours?  _________________ -Chuck

You should put one of those turbo jets in there - it would go a bit faster then
I wonder if it would work if you bypassed the intermediate shaft and took the drive directly from the crank shaft to the rear axle. If it still had enough torque, it would go at a more realistic racing speed. Not a good idea without the RC but safe enough with. You would need a longer belt but it might be worth trying. _________________ Regards
