Hi and welcome to the Forums.
This is a simple list of Frequently asked questions for all to read and hopefully find answers.

If anyone has questions they think could be added, please PM me, another Mod, or James, the Admin, as this is locked.

1) I want to ask a question about steam but feel that it might be regarded as silly as I am new to it.

Don't worry. Just ask away. We all had to start somewhere. Asking questions can only help.

2) Should I search the forums for an answer to my question before asking?

The search function isn't the best here. So have a quick look, if you can't find it, just ask. The Steam Reference Library might be a good place, as is the Technical section

3) I see someone mentioned they are going to bid on an item. Should I also mention I want to bid?

Some members like letting people know they are going to bid on a particular item. But it is purely up to the individual. No one will get upset at you for not declaring you are going to bid. So it is up to you.

4) How do I upload pictures?

You need to set up an account at http://photobucket.com/
Once you do, upload your photos there.
Once your pics are uploaded to photobucket you will see thumbnails of your pics
Click on the bit that says IMG Code below the thumbnail of the pic you wish to upload to here
It will automatically copy the link by clicking on the IMG code, then just paste it in your message that you want the pic in (by pressing Ctrl V)
Do the exact same for vids.

Remember, if you are new to model/toy steam, this is a great place to learn, and many people are willing to help. So always ask questions.

Now go and enjoy the forums
