good videos there we only have still pics of the train we road on in the brecon beacons in 2004 we didnt own a video camera then

I remember the GCR applied for 40MPH running for special events, not sure if they got it, but it would be a bloody good sight

I drove 4141 a t nearly 35mph according to the fireman counting the mile posts.

I find it incredible how HMRI imposes speed limits on lines with engines that don't have speedometers A lot of diesel owners got lambasted over doing high speeds on preserved lines even though diesels have speedo's... There was quite a lot of mention over one diesel doing 40MPH on the Mid-Hants Railway!!!

The large prairie had no speedo - thats what made it more fun!!
