A very dull and damp Sunday morning at Liverpool Lime Street with Ex LMS 4-6-2 Princess Elizabeth on the York Yuletide Express. Sorry they aren't exactly brilliant, my little compact doesn't handle low light situations particularly well.

I donīt thing these pictures are dull, I would call them very athmospheric. The bad weather situation cleared up a bit with the sight of such a nice engine !

The second one is something special  : The fireman shovels coal on the grate to rise steam, awaiting the  light signal turning from red to green. And when the station master blows the whistle for departure the driver opens the regulator and off they went !
