Great vid, Tony. Interesting that this one doesn't have the chuffing sound like
the other. This one runs with a more familiar sound...better fitting parts?

I noticed that too.
Don't know why no chuffing sound will need to run the first again and compare.
It is very well balanced and just feels smooth when you flick the flywheel around with no pressure in the boiler.

I can only run one at a time at the moment as I still need to get a new seal for the safety valve as I had to use the safety valve off my first engine and I also only have one burner.

Whats the weight of that engine Tony?

About 1.1Kg with an empty boiler and the smokestack missing.
A lot of that weight is the cast iron base of course.

Compared to 880 grams of my other scorpion with smokestack and as the rest of the engine is the same it shows just how much more solid the cast iron base is on my new one.

Fantastic Tony, and it cleaned up a treat as well.

Are you making a chimney for it mate?

Great view from the balcony mate.

I will eventually as it wont be too hard to make a new chimney the only possible problem is the dent in the end cap may cause it to lean over to one side but I'm sure I could sort something out with it.

Oh and I forgot to mention I'm hopefully getting another parts verticle cheap, not sure what brand it is or what is missing, wont find out for atleast 2 weeks but if I'm lucky I may be able to make a runner out of it cheap.
