Yes but I will be back. It is only about 5 miles from me if that.

That would make a great restoration project for a team with suitable funding and resources. The two engines themselves appear to be mainly complete and restorable. The boilers are probably too far gone, which is a pity, but a modern one could be installed.

My greatest fear is that some accountant will one day decide to sell it all for scrap - god forbid.

BTW, I guess the small vertical boiler may have been there just to run the generator when the main engine wasn't required or was being serviced.

Is it a boiler, or could it be a condenser?

It looks a bit small for a condenser

Next time I go buy there as I want to see if I can find any information on the small engine I will try and take a better look. It is fairly big and could be a small boiler to run the small engine when they were working on the big boiler to have electricity.

Jeff if you haven't already done it elect some officers for the Georgia Steam Society and have some business cards made up to hand out at times like this.

A family friend that has a construction company that works across the Canadian prairies did this for a museum of farm machinery his family established. Once he shows the card people are practically begging him to take stuff for it off their hands. He has flat deck trailers to haul his equipment so he just loads stuff up and hauls it home on the week-ends.

Thanks much is in the workings since the club is not even a mouth old yet.   Business cards is one of the things we will be discussing the 19th at the meeting and steam up.

Depending on your classic HD motorbike you are showing in your avatar, you know that " Milwaukee Iron " gets a second  meaning now with that engine !

cheers Joe
