If you ignore the Thomas crap, that is a lovely railway with great locomotives!

Well at least the Thomas is a real live steam locomotive here is the states the one I have seen is just for looks and pushed by a diesel.

That's sad to see. I told the kids I would take them there one day.

I know when I lived right near there for 6 months it was struggling, that was in 1999.
It relied heavily on volunteers and struggled to find people, maybe due to it's isolation?? Not sure.

It's been said that with all the skilled people heading to the mines it's leaving local areas without them. Maybe this is an added effect, loss of volunteers
