That's terrific Ross! Looking great.....
Did you double, (or treble) drill the flywheel hole?
I would have drilled out to 5.5mm. Then used a dull/ used drill to open out to 6mm.
So pleased you managed a tight fit on the crankshaft.....
Looking forward to the video........ _________________ David...... "Good `ere, innit!" |

David,
I measure the crank and it was just a few micron over 6mm. I remembered that when I drilled the hole on the engine plate it was a really tight fit, so tight I had to oped the hole out a little for it to turn.
So I just drilled it 6mm and widened it ever do slightly like you say! _________________ Regards,

I've ran a little short of time lately. It needs running in on air due to a tights pit on bottom dead centre.
I've made am air adapter, I thnk the bed step would be to get an air compressor so I can give a a good few hours to run itself in.
I'm going on holiday and starting a new job soon so give it a few weeks an we will see. _________________ Regards,

Just an update,
I've ordered the compressor and got some bits and pieces to go with it. Ive covered my lathe in oil an a rust protection liquid in the summer as I won't be using it until I'm settled into working full time.
Should have a runner by next week (he says) _________________ Regards,
