Worked really well, just squirted the water in, no pressure lost, so just opened the regulator and off he went again. |
The water top up valve is good stuff I have one on Rosa and it's just easier to fill that way . Good to hear your's is running well Chris when they are good they are good. When they are bad, they are bad (running wise that is) |
SM32 and O gauge are the same thing Unless there's some subtle difference e.g. track standards

lovely wagons, inspiring stuff. I've decided that my garden line would benefit from being SM32 rather than O gauge. |

the loco on left is O gauge, the SL1 represents SM32.
O gauge is standard gauge, SM32 is narrow gauge, and happens to use 32mm gauge track, because, well when the scale/gauge combo was invented there was a lot of it around! They both use 32mm track. SM32 looks like mamod track basically, and Peco O gauge looks like proper mainline chaired track. i do love O gauge!

Not really.
You could say its not possible to be to a scale as they have no prototype they are modelled on.
Roundhouse locos are 16mm which means 16mm to the foot scale.
I know thats a stupid scale metric and imperial mixed but don't blame me I didn't make it.
Mamod locos are smaller than that so at a guess maybe 13 or 14mm. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm

It took me a while to work out the O Gauge / SM32 difference. But luckily I did before buying a load of cheap O gauge rolling stock.
Going to just stick with Mamod rolling stock for now to keep life simple, and it does the job very well anyway. _________________ Chris

Tmuir is absolutely right, Tag Gorton, SM32 afficionado supreme describes the Mamod as 14mm scale, as do many other websites around. |
