Like many of you, I have arrived on this website because I have a perfectly "normal addiction" to steam engines and other propulsion units.
Currently I only own a D2 and D10 as well as a Boehm HB7 and just this evening I bought a Ceramic burner kit from Phil!
Apart from steam engines, I also am quite a collector of many other things, this list goes something like this: pens, watches, zippo lighters (never smoked before), old rums, pins, retro hotwheels, vinyl records, CD's, and I am a vivid audiophile in the purest sense of the word.
Sooo yea, hello! _________________ ~Brett

A BIG from Denmark
Very nice start of your collection, the D2 is just adorable, the D10 is the first in the Wilesco-range of "real" steamengines and such a great runner, and the HB7...what a Stirling beauty
You won`t regret the burner from Phil, superb quality and it will give so much more fun with the D10, since that engine doesn`t have a steamvalve. With the gasburner you will suddenly have a lot of rev-control, and will be able to chuff that little beauty so nicely _________________ Cheers

to the forum, you'll enjoy the BIX burner from Phil and it will work great on the D10. _________________ My Website:

WOOW A fellow Audiophile... !! My Friend Hello and biggest possible welcome from Norway. My name is Knut, but I also obay calls on the nic Camst. I am a relative new collector of anything engine models, but have like you obviously a "small and very normal" adiction. I am a hamster at heart and have collected the weirdest things ove rht year's like rock's, cheepest thing ever to be collected, and the heavyest. a trip to Denmark some years back left all my trouses in a state of ruin from filling too many stones in the pockets, I did of course not notice that I must have looked like a true village idiot . This is by far the best engine forum about on the net. in here you will be able to learn practically what ever it is possible to accuire of information. I think there is a person in here for evry knowlege imaginable and never a "no" if any of the knowlege can be shared.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
I am quite excited about the BIX burner, the Esbits I have been using for the last few years have a tendency to lose their heat very quickly and soot up everything above them, so I decided a burner is the only way to go.
Currently I am in the market for a new steam engine, something that could be a step up from a D10 but not quite jumping up to something like a D21; anyone have any recommendations? I hear nice things about SteamCo. _________________ ~Brett

Steamco's are good but they are quite expensive but they are nice quality and smooth runners. I'd recommend either a Wilesco D16 or a Jensen #75. _________________ My Website:

Hello
if you are on a budget the Jensen75 with the recomended new paint finish on the fire house might be a fine adition, I reasently bought a 75 my selfe with no intent to display it, so i didnt bother with the extra paint job, but in your case I am sure that the extra work on the paint will be a preferable option. There are huge amount of Jense experts here about, so they will no doubt be able to put you in any direction you will want to go. the Forum is as well filled with Wilesco expertise . So whatever you find your wishes are, in here is the guidence to practicaly evrything that mecanically moves. . ps, we are veru fund of pictures and film's in here of any project, display engine or work horse. so please put whatever you like from your collection on picture and/or film and put it in the apropreate forum folder . best of luck with a eventual new buy. _________________ Im Knut, the norwegian. Hello and welcome to the forum, from Singapore.
Perhaps for your next engine you could consider a mobile. Wilesco's D365 and D405 are nice models, and lend themselves to modifying and upgrading if you ever get the urge. _________________ Regards,
