Hello,
I found this site by searching for steam forums on the internet to get answers to a few questions. I am still surprised how much info i can find here and am glad this site exists since there does not seem to be vary many around.
I am 34 yrs old and live in Copenhagen , Denmark. My first encounter with steam models was when i was about 11 yrs as a boy growing up in africa and a friend of mine got a D10 for christmas which provided us with numerous hours of fun.
Recently, i stumbled upon some models on the internet which rekindled old memories and i bought myself a Wilesco D14.
Sadly, only a few days after, just like a festering disease, i found myself again buying a used Wilesco D6 on the internet and to make matters worse i am also currently bidding on a D20 (the old version with blue cylinders) that i hope i win . Not to mention the private handcrafted models i am eyeing on german ebay that are just exquisite and i may soon place some bids
I am generally a sucker for anything that spins or can create power and i have numerous radio controlled 1/4 petrol cars.
I am married and we have 2 sons (3 and & yrs old) who are still too young to play with steam but i cant wait for them to grow and share the interest (i hope)
Feel free to ask anything else you may want to know. |

Hello and from Illinois!
Collecting model steam can be habit forming. Just a warning. _________________ Give us this day our daily Steam,

Hi, and welcome from Perth Western Australia.
I have a 2 1/2 and a 5 year old son.
Both who love to watch me fire up the steam engines, so although your sons are too young to run them you can still have fun with them firing the engines up for them. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm
