Very nice! If there was a jealous emoticon, I'd be using it.

Nice work, Bill!  When did you buy the kit from Coles?

Thanks guys.Dean,I bought both Stuarts and the cretors popcorn kits way back in the early 70s and just started on the beam a few months ago.as you can see it is not done yet as I still need to clock the cly. cocks and a few other bits.I can't believe how far down in quality Stuart castings have come.I bought a 10v last year and got disgusted with it and I don't do that to often.

Yes, that's too bad, Bill.  I've heard the same thing about Stuart castings over the past year or two on some of
the machinist/modeling forums.  It's a shame.  I wonder if they still make their own castings, or have farmed them
out to the far east.

Do you know if Coles is still in business?  I still have a catalog from them I got about 20 years ago.  They sure used
to sell a lot of different casting kits from all over the globe!  I remember getting my first PMR casting kit from them
a long time back, and it was $24 for their #3 steam engine.  Still have that one, (built now, of course!).

I do like the Coles Popcorn engine !

And the Coles website has some great casting kits , but no descriptions !
it also has some great looking accessories , like guage glass assemblys and whistles .
Try to order a catolog ?

They don't seem to sale as many kits as they used to.If you see a engine or kit you might want to buy look at the price list to make sure before you order a catalog.
