Folks the entrants were in a long week ago. I have struggled over winners ( 2 from my judgement and soon a people choice winner)

As always deciding such things is wonderful and heart wrenching all in one- I truly thank all who take the time to enter. It is light hearted but still in the pit of your stomach everyone wants to win ( I think  )

I ask you to first watch a recap of this years entries as edited by our very own Daryl Foster- the GURU of Putt Putt boats like the world may never know again ( Jean my apologies- I have gotten to know Daryl better than you- I doff my cap to you too!)

Thank you one and all-

PRIZES:

1st Place will receive- 25 British pounds  (about $38USD)- To spend on what you will- Can you say Hobby Funds?!!- Please PM Sandman for details....

2nd Place Will receive $25 USD (Spend it as you will) Pleas PM mogogear and we will figure out how you want to be "prized"- check, cash or a Harbor Freight gift Certificate perhaps..??

On to the video and the the winners..

Drum roll please... Something new has occurred this year- the First Place winning boat will be featured on the Forum Index page ( Like the Engine of the Month winners are !!!!!!!)

Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!  Dance!

Second place with a hearty and loud hurray and appreciation is a newer member-

LENN and his Man in a Canoe

The pure retro - roots look of this entry "( and Lenn had 3) just struck me- It looked as if it could have been an old pop pop boat lost in a truck or attic for 40 years.. It was a great mover too! Lenn - The boat section as the rest of the forum is happy to have you and your building enthusiasm...As all the fellows from the UK would say..Good on You Thumbs up!  Thumbs up!

More drum rolls.....

WWPPBB4 First Place winner is

Terry and his "Miss Carly"

What an amazing entry, Look at the pipes, look at the hull details, 3 boilers with a Snuff box fuel tank, are you kidding me?
YELLOW...?!!
I still think my ratty boat may be faster   but the details and method was beyond imagination But Absolutely blown away by yet another new member..

Congratulations Terry!!! to you and your fine boat.

I am only sorry that I have no prize to give everyone- but that is how it goes. I am so over joyed to have so many new members enter this year with stunning contributions- Kevin and his o-ring engine is wonderful, Green machine and his 4 entries, We had a members daughter in the mix-- WELL DONE ! You built a boat and it performed well!

Denying Dutchman had me riveted to the screen with the hopes of the X-wing fighter boat- Paul you are so ambitious--It will come to pass soon that you sir are King of the Mountain one day. Even the illustrious Tony joined our ranks!!

I like that we have basic boats and then adventuresome builds. It shows you that steam engines  no matter how simple ..or not..do not just have to sit on a table top- but that we can let loose of them and watch them sail. If I missed mentioning your name or boat- please do not fret- I am weary and my fingers tired

Again congratulations to all and one last bit of business

Peoples Choice Award- Mention

Please PM me with you vote out of the remaining boats you vote for members / peoples choice as favorite boat. I will announce it next Sunday

Terry  please contact member - Dauntless- with a great photo depicting your first place entry

Thanks again to all that entered, contributed in any way and that followed these fun little boats!

Greg - WOW!  Please accept my heartfelt thanks. Among so many very talented people on this forum, I feel honored to be given first place.

Thank you for sponsoring this contest Greg, it is quite a generous motion on your part seeing it through from beginning to end. There is nothing like a good old fashioned contest to get people inspired. I appreciate that there was an outlet for creative ideas, the journey was very enjoyable for me, and it is wonderful to see how others express their creativity.

Kudos to everyone for their clever entries, and good work.  I am already looking forward to WWPPBB2014! Thanks again Greg, and thanks to everyone for the nice comments!

Thank you!

Terry.

My choice would have been the Lamborghini, said Ferrari before but it's a long story, and all was very impressive in variety and ingenuity

First just to put the record straight, I only entered two boats as there are only two videos, the other boats were built but did not run
sucessfully.

A big thank you to our Captain Mo for organising the contest and to Daryl for doing the video and to all who took the trouble to build and take part.
All entrants having running pop pop boats are winners.

Congrats to Terry the best looking boat and Lenn`s French connection pop pop.........John

The Duck insisted on it saying that if he was going to be in the movies he needed movie makeup as movie lighting did not enhance his delicate features.

True but only because of great makeup.
