MooseMan,
I don't speak Welsh at all. That is simply the name of my little granite tramway. It is actually the product of some time spent on Wikipedia (greatest resource ever) researching the quarrying industry in North Wales. There was a horse worked tram line at the quarry at Mynydd Tir y Cwmwd in the early days but it was never locomotive worked. My (nonexistant) line is a 'could have been' continuation of this line.

Pauly,
I do have a Millie, but it is not your average Millie. It is one of the first made (no sight glass fittings) that I picked up secondhand through a friend who was at the annual steamup at Diamondhead, Mississippi for a very reasonable price. The smokebox has since made a return trip to the Motherland to the shops of Harvey Watkins for a chimney extension and the engine is also fitted with an alttered Roundhouse Russell dome to suit the safety valve.

No problem Paul - I'm of Dutch extraction myself, but living in Wales and having a daughter who is fluent in the language has forced me to learn!

Thanks to all the Aussies and others from the more temperate regions for the warm welcome. Unusually, it is not supposed to break the freezing mark here until next weekend. Meantime, it is icy on the roads and there is snow on the ground.

Mo,
You live in a city that is dangerous for me. You have Powell's Books where I am easily separated from my money, Rose's Deli where I can stuff myself, and an indoor small scale live steam venue that cannot be beat.
